With my work I want to reinforce home feeling of a place. In these Giant Doodles I refer to how important I think fabrics and materials are to feel at home somewhere. I tried to translate the warmth, intimacy and joy that materials and fabrics can offer, into paintings and drawings. Therefor I used domestic patterns as the main subject and incorporated the patterns into a giant doodle. By applying patterns, a scribble changes into a character.

To reinforce the character, I work with playful colors, different materials and much texture. I work quite clean and minimalistic to make the works crisp and recognizable.
By making these works, I aim to create new anchor points to make places feel more familiar and personal.
